The Alerts page
Alerts (left nav) is mission control for everything firing or configured. It is organized into tabs: the live Alerts feed, your Rules, Silences, and SLOs. Filters and statistics sit across the top.
The live alerts feed
- Each alert shows its severity, the affected application/source, when it started, and its state.
- Use filters (severity, source, status, time) to focus; statistics summarize volume and noisy sources.
- Act on an alert: Acknowledge (you're on it), Resolve, or open it for full context and links to traces/dashboards.
Cookbook: triage the board
- Filter to severity = critical and status = unacked.
- Open the top alert; read its context and jump to the linked service/trace.
- Acknowledge so teammates know it's owned; Resolve when fixed.
- If it's expected (a deploy), create a short silence instead (see Silences).
