The Response page and War Rooms

Response (left nav) is incident command. It shows open and recent War Rooms and on-call posture (ack rate, pages in the last 7 days). A War Room (/response/rooms/:guid) is the single place an incident lives — VerOps auto-assembles the context so responders start with the picture instead of building it by hand.

What a War Room assembles for you

• Topology spotlight — the focal service and its one-hop neighbors with live health, so blast radius is obvious.
• Timeline — alerts, deploys and key events in order, to find "what changed".
• AI notes — an agentic summary of the likely cause and next checks.
• Signals — related alerts, errors and recent traces, in one place.
• Auto-linking — cascading failures link related rooms, so you fix the cause, not each symptom.

Cookbook: run an incident

1. A critical alert opens a War Room automatically (or open one from Response), scoped to the affected service.
2. Read the AI notes and the timeline spike; confirm blast radius on the topology.
3. Coordinate in the room; a Workbook can post findings and run a remediation behind an Approval.
4. After resolution, the room is your post-mortem record — timeline, actions, outcome.

Detection, diagnosis and action share one surface — alerts open the room, Workbooks act in it, and the timeline becomes your post-mortem.
