Reading the network views

Dashboard

Network → Dashboard summarizes every test: pass/fail, latency and loss trends, and the worst performers — your first stop to see "is the network healthy?".

Topology and Mesh

Topology draws nodes and links with health on each edge — spot a degraded link at a glance. Mesh shows agent-to-agent measurements, useful for multi-site/multi-region fleets to see which pair of locations is struggling.

Path Analysis

Path Analysis gives the hop-by-hop route (traceroute-style) and AS path to a target, so you can localize where latency or loss is introduced — your network, the transit provider, or the destination.

Agents, Discovery and Metrics

• Agents — install network agents at the vantage points you care about and watch their status.
• Discovery — find peers/endpoints on the network to monitor.
• Metrics — explore the raw latency/loss/jitter series behind the views.

Cookbook: localize a latency complaint

1. Open Dashboard; confirm which test/target is degraded.
2. Open Path Analysis for that target; find the hop where RTT jumps.
3. If the bad hop is outside your network, you have evidence it's the provider; if inside, you know which segment to fix.

In a Workbook, a Network Probe node lets you confirm the app can reach its database before asserting on a write.
